We would like to welcome you to write a few words about your experiences and useful comments about your stay at The Coach House, Painswick for our future guests. Thank you.

The perfect weekend away. Just what I needed. The town lives up to is picturesque reputation and the Coach House was just as beautiful. Clean. Equipped. Peaceful. Thank you Rebecca for the warm greeting and being extremely helpful

jeremy ,

We just stayed for 3 nights at the Coach house, Rebecca was great at answering all queries and dealt with everything very efficiently. The house is lovely, garden beautiful and the whole family enjoyed themselves. Will definitely be booking again and could not recommend the house highly enough. thanks Rebecca and Kathlyn

Wow - what fabulous break we've just enjoyed (7-10 April) in this wonderful house. There were 3 generations of us away to celebrate my dad's birthday and the coach house couldnt have been more perfect for our needs. Pre arrival information and advice was brilliant from Rebecca, as was her generous offer of booking local restaurants for us. We took Rebecca's recommendation and tried the gorgeous Painswick Hotel (just a few steps away) and enjoyed a magical sunset few glasses of fizz and cocktails over looking a magnificent view.

The house itself is just fabulous, the pictures really dont do it justice. The kitchen and diner were great for family meals and drinks in the evening, a very social space, and the garden was just lovely for daytime fun with the kids enjoying many garden games provided and exploring. All bedrooms were very comfortable and with 2 next door to each other at either end of the house positioned really well for a little privacy should 2 families want to visit.

The kitchen was very well equipped with a huge range cooker and American fridge freezer, and there were plenty of towels / bedlinens / general supplies throughout the house. Also, the bi-fold doors leading from the dining area to the garden created a beautiful space, especially with the lovely Cotswold stone arches framing the view.

We were blessed with sumer weather in April but for any rainy days there is a fab little playroom for the children with a vast array of games, toys, and activities which our 3 made good use of!

I cannot recommend the Coach House highly enough, from the very sweet welcome texts and support from Rebecca, the much appreciated gifts of bubbly, bread, and Easter treats for the children, to the beautiful and comfortable house. Thank you - and we will defintely see you very soon!

The Lukes & Murrays

Nina Luke,

Had a great family holiday in Painswick which is a truly delightful village. 9 of us at one point all easily catered for. Views from the upstairs to die for this house works very well. Sun trap decking and charming garden . Pains wick church adorable and local pub and shop very usable. Stroud and slad very near also. Thanks for a top Easter holiday

Jon sanders,

Hasall family- yet another lovely stay here in this superb house. Very lucky with the weather! Thank you.

David Halsall,

My partner and I stayed at the coach house recently and we had such a wonderful time we didn't want to leave!! We left it to the last minute to pack up our stuff as it was so glorious! The house was cosy, warm and luxurious! Will definitely return and I couldn't recommend it enough. Absolutely stunning house!!

Fantastic house in a beautiful location with all the facilities for a family holiday".
"I organised a long weekend break for my extended family (parent-in-laws, sister-in-law, her two children) along with my wife and our two young children to celebrate my birthday. We could not have asked for a better location and house. There was something for all age groups and plenty of space to allow small groups to do their own thing. At the end of the lane there is a gorgeous church with the best manicured trees I have ever seen. A good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs all within walking distance. We were fortunate enough to see a brilliant fireworks display at the local school. We hope to return again soon. You will not regret booking this amazing house.

Fabulous house, beautifully decorated. All modern amenities provided. Amazing views! Perfect weekend retreat!

Enjoyed a lovely stay at the coach house with great bedrooms and a fantastic view from the main bedroom .Everything as described and the security deposit promptly returned. Would recommend the dog friendly falcon pub just a few minutes walk away and my son and his wife enjoyed the patchwork mouse café in the village.

Len Stratton,

Delightful house in wonderful location
The Coach House is set in an ideal location in the beautiful village of Painswick with pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. There was plenty of room for my wife and I, our daughter and son-in-law and 6 month old granddaughter and two border collies. The house was very well prepared and the garden immaculate. There are magnificent views from the bedrooms and we really appreciated the folding doors that really brought the garden area into the kitchen diner. Lots of walks from the house....we will definitely be back to do more exploring!

The cottage was very well equipped and had 3 lovely new bathrooms, plenty of room and well presented. Fantastic views from the garden and master bedroom.
We would have given it 5 stars but the garden and lawn needed some attention.
The manager was very helpful, some nice local restaurants, steep narrow hill down to the cottage but it did not give us any problems would definitely recommend it.

Easily up to expectations. Lovely house; comfortable, roomy and nicely furnished. Owners very helpful. Unfortunately too chilly to sit/eat in garden which is pleasant and private. Highly recommend The Bistro in Painswick - excellent service and food.

John Sewart,

Spent a lovely long May bank holiday weekend at The Coach House with our family including a 2 year old and the dog! Plenty of space for all, good facilities, very clean and really nice standard accommodation throughout. Our toddler really enjoyed the play room and the safe garden and slept very well in the cot bed. Very quiet and peaceful area - thoroughly recommended.

James Clark,

We spent New Year 2015 at The Coach House and what a fantastic place to celebrate. The house was a great space for the 8 of us - we particularly loved sitting around the kitchen island and the table. The kids loved the lounge and snug too. We managed a couple of walks despite the rain visiting The butchers arms in sheepscombe and the Woolpack in slad - both of which very much worth the walk. Thank you & we look forward to visiting painswick again.

Nikki Willcock ,

We had a fantastic week in this beautiful cottage in December before and after my daughters wedding at nearby Elmore Court. The cottage is spacious with added luxuries and was an ideal place for our family and friends before and after the wedding had everything we needed.

Sue Connolly,

We had a wonderful Christmas visit in this delightful cottage. The cottage is furnished to a very high standard and with a Christmas tree added it provided a very warm welcome on a wet Monday in December. The family gathered for a proper Christmas lunch which was a delight to cook in these surroundings with the rolling hills in front. Christmas has never been so easy!

Sarah Wadsworth,

What a perfect place for our family gathering to celebrate a 70th birthday. Superb property suitable for all ages. The property is well maintained, clean and with fab decor. It's exactly as shown on the internet. The well stocked children's den was really well used. Thanks to Debra for all her help in answering our queries extremely quickly and also her local knowledge in recommending a suitable hostelry for Sunday lunch. The Butchers Arms at Sheepscombe serves up some great food and all the staff were very friendly.

Lynn Hessell,

“In short we had a lovely time. It was a charming house with lots of room for ourselves and four children, plenty of games and movies in the house, great kitchen for cooking and eating together. We had an excellent half term holiday & we couldn't recommend it highly enough. ”

“Great house. Perfect for 7 of us and our dog for a long weekend exploring the Cotswolds. Painswick is a lovely small village with a couple of great pubs and we used it as a base to drive to other Cotswold locations not too far away. Couldn't complain about anything at the house - everything was as expected and the house was more impressive in real life than on the photos. Thanks for a great stay! ”

Lovely cottage with lots of room and character. Great house for playing hide and seek!!! We've had lots of fun. Great views and we were very lucky to have the weather. Thank you.

The Dines,

Great weekend in a great cottage. Thank you.

A beautiful home with great spaces for family gatherings. The photo's really do not do it justice. The toy room is amazing and our daughter spent most of the week on the little bike! Wonderful walks in the area and everything you need in Painswick. Recommend over valley trek to the Woolpack in Slad. Rococ Gardens great for children with their maze and trails, sorry to be going home.

Milon Family,

“Fabulous house - good value for money”
4 of 5 stars
We were 7 in three generations, including 2 small children (3 and 1). Despite awful weather we had a most enjoyable week in what was a delightful, spacious house, very well-appointed with a variety of objets d'art.
